Here is another batch of Christmas cards I made from that One Sheet Wonders Class I am taking from Jessica Taylor:
The DP I used in these cards I stamped myself — the blue and silver snowflakes. That was fun. It’s part of the class. I used blue Colorbox pigment inks and Delicata Silver. The stamps are a Stampendous cling set called Jumbo Snowflakes.
I couldn’t resist blinging most of these cards up in one way or another — gems, glitter tape, glitter embossing powder. But still the DP does most of the work. Some of the people who post their work in the class, I think, have fussed up their cards with too many embellishments. That’s just my opinion, but I think the point here is to highlight the DP, not hide it behind ribbons and doilies and doo-dads.The left-hand card in the second row has no bling at all, and I think it’s one of the better cards. I deliberately restrained myself. If you add too much, you can’t always take it back — better to quit before you go too far and ruin and otherwise fine card.
What do you think — can there ever be too much bling?
